salmon. for b and me, it's our favorite fish in any state - raw, cooked, you name it. the same fishmongers that inspired the crab louis also had some wild salmon steaks that were just too good to pass up.

silly me, i thought this could be a dinner for two. my hungry husband thought otherwise (although to be fair, i was already supremely content with my salad).

salmon is so easy - you just sprinkle a little of this, squeeze a little of that - presto, you've got yourself an A+ meal.

here's our salmon with thyme, and lemon:

i deboned the fish, then drizzled the tiniest bit of avocado oil on both sides. next, i added cracked sea salt, fresh ground pepper, some thyme to both sides of the fish. lastly, on the top side, i added two slices of lemon. the whole production took about 3 minutes.

i put it in the oven at 350 for about 18 minutes, then after taking it out of the oven, let it sit for about an additional 5 minutes.

served it up with some cauliflower 'mashed potatoes' and some sautéed asparagus and onion. from what i hear, it was pretty good.
