love day

the last year and a half has been busy for b and me - getting married, remodeling every. single. room. in our condo, starting new jobs... come this past january - we were exhausted! we found ourselves hunkering down on the weekends, decompressing and just trying to recoup a little before monday arrived again. now, there is definitely a time and place for spending all day in your pjs (rainy sundays - i'm looking at you), but it's not sustainable (or attractive!) long term.

a few weeks back, b and i made a resolution to get out and enjoy things together more. we used a valentines date to make good on that pledge - trekking north of san francisco to take advantage of the world-class oyster houses. in just a few hours, we were sitting at a corner table at the marshall store, spooning clam chowder into our mouths as fast as temperatures would allow.

on the way home we stopped briefly before weaving through this little valley. suddenly, those real estate listings seem almost reasonable.
