Mary Poppins

abc family is running a disney marathon this weekend - a delight for sweet b. mary poppins was on this morning and it sparked me out of my own blog inactivity.

since i haven't posted since early october, i have it on good accord that you never saw my mary poppins costume from halloween.

the skirt, shirt, and bag all came from my closet. the hat was a foam election hat that i spray painted and assaulted with tacky glue and $3.06 worth of fake flowers from the same craft store as the single-use fabric gloves. a borrowed umbrella and shoes from my mother's closet. the sweet bow-tie was a 10 minute craft project.

truth be told, i loved it.

side note: b has been in love with mary poppins his whole life - which may or may not have contributed to my costume idea. when i get around to posting his first trip to disneyland, take a gander at how starstruck he was meeting bert and mary!
